I enjoyed my May Day holiday. We Chinese people celebrated the International Labour Day in different ways. Some of us really enjoyed our holiday vacations, so we went sightseeing and visiting our loved ones. However, other people had to take their duties on this holiday.
For example, the police, firefighters and soldiers were on their duties by keeping us safe throughout the holiday. Hospitals opened during the holiday, so doctors and nurses were on call for taking care of their patients. Services such as tourism, restaurants, shopping malls and super markets were open to the public during the May Day holiday.
We appreciated these hard working people who never stopped delivering great services to their clients and customers throughout the holiday of the First of May. All in all, showing appreciation to hard working people is a significance of celebrating the Labour Day holiday. I liked this May Day holiday very much!

I had a great time throughout my May Day Holiday.
On Monday, I went BBQ with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. Our parents were invited to the party. Everybody was excited about the holiday. I ate a lot of delicious food at that time.
On Tuesday, I went visiting my uncles family with my parents. We went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in Shanghai. Later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. We stayed for the night.
On Wednesday, I went shopping with my cousins. We bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. In the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. They also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so I tried to do some turning and parking. It was not easy first. But I learnt quick.
All in all, I enjoyed my May Day Holiday in many ways.

This winter term, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan. I spent six weeks immersing myself in Japanese culture and studying Japanese language and history.
I stayed with a host family and was able to experience daily life in Tokyo, from taking the subway to shopping at the local markets. I also took classes at a local university and participated in cultural activities such as tea ceremony and calligraphy.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I also explored the city and tried new foods such as sushi, ramen, and takoyaki. I visited historical landmarks such as the Tokyo Imperial Palace and the Sensoji Temple, and even went to a sumo wrestling tournament.
My time in Tokyo was an incredible opportunity to learn about a new culture and gain a deeper understanding of the world. I made new friends, improved my language skills, and created memories that I will treasure for a lifetime.

I have a very cheerful holiday in “The National Day”. My parent and I went to Shanghai about nine days ago. We got there by plane, I think that shanghai must be a very big city, and there are a lot of tall buildings. First we went into the hotel named”chuang ye”. And we saw the tall big building “Shanghai TV Tower”, at nine in the evening, we got back to the hotel. The second day, we visited Zhouzhuang. It’s very beautiful and the air was good, I bought my favorite toy : weapons. I like them very much. Shanghai’s food tasted good. Today we are very happy and tired, so we slept early in the night.
The third day however, we didn’t go anywhere, we stayed in the hotel until late in the afternoon. In the evening, we came back to Tianjin by plane to. This travel was fantastic!
